Debbie especially enjoys working with watercolor, acrylic, and mixed media collage.  When she teaches art, she often includes a narrative, examples and/or demonstrations. Using a variety of mediums makes it fun to explore and express one’s self.  Through stories of famous artists in history and personal experiences, she finds similarities and differences in artists from the past to the present. In this way she fosters more understanding of how art has evolved and the limitless possibilities in the future.  With encouragement, she gives students tools to use for individual exploration, examination, expression of feelings and unlimited creativity.
